Classic elegance would be the most apt description for the wedding of Alexandra Leylegian (daughter of Debra Leylegian) and Jesse Campanaro (son of Kathleen Bonnell). The stunning Chapel of Grace served as the location for the incredibly special ceremony presided over by the bride’s uncle George Leylegian and followed by a black-tie dinner and dancing at the Bohemian Club.
Says Alexandra, “We wanted the wedding to have a traditional Old-World feel, and we wanted it to be very intimate, as if our guests were coming to our home for a very special dinner.” The no-cell-phone policy of the private club made it a modern-day escape for family and friends to spend a magical evening together. The couple also wanted to create a weekend that would highlight San Francisco, as many of their guests were from out of town. They kicked off the celebrations with a welcome drinks event at the Metropolitan Club immediately following the rehearsal dinner, and ended the weekend with a farewell brunch at Yank Sing—the bride’s family’s favorite dim sum restaurant.
The event truly was a family affair; Alexandra worked closely with her mother and grandparents Jack and Dorothy Leylegian to see to all of the details, including breathtaking floral arrangements featuring white orchids from La Follia Designs by Thierry Chantrel and music by The Broadway Project.
Special extras included a Vanity Fair-style photo booth
by award-winning photographer Michael Davis, elegant monogrammed linen napkins,
and a custom popcorn bar (bride’s favorite food).
