Dr. Melanie Seto + Dr. Jason Lim

Tradition was the hallmark of the wedding of Melanie Seto (daughter of Sharon and David Seto) to Jason Lim (son of Kenneth and Estella Lim). Melanie grew up in San Francisco and attended Hamlin School, UCLA, and UOP Dental School, where she specialized in orthodontia. Jason grew up in Sacramento and, while earning his dental degree at UOP with a specialization in pediatric dentistry, met the beautiful Melanie.

For their wedding, the couple married East/West traditions with four days of celebrations, including a formal Chinese tea ceremony at a private home on Telegraph Hill in San Francisco, to which the bride wore a traditional tea ceremony gown that had been worn by her mother before her. The next evening, a rehearsal dinner took place at Freemark Abbey Winery.

The 350-person wedding was held at Tre Posti Estate in St. Helena. The bride and her parents arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and proceeded down a majestic vineyard path for the ceremony. A formal dinner under the stars included dancing and an after party topped by a sparkler send-off. Over a hundred guests enjoyed a post-wedding celebration at a private home the next day. “It was a day full of smiles,” notes the mother of the bride, “which couldn’t be more fitting.”
