This past San Francisco 49ers season was quite an exciting one. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo returned with a bang. The rushing game was on point with the powerhouse addition of running back Raheem Mostert. Not to mention, that showstopping tackle by linebacker Dre Greenlaw in the final seconds of the regular season game versus the Seahawks. Now, it’s time to celebrate the stunning season amid the beautiful landscape of Carmel Valley.
The 49ers Foundation and Chevron are teaming up for the second annual Golden Getaway at Carmel Valley Ranch. Over March 20 – 22, guests of the event will enjoy a two-night luxurious weekend of five-star accommodations, top hospitality, and endless resort activities to be enjoyed alongside 49ers players, coaches, alumni, and ownership. “It’s great to get out to Carmel and support the 49ers Foundation with the guys,” says Garoppolo, who is scheduled to be in attendance.
The Golden Getaway kicks off with a Celebrity Golf Tournament at Carmel Valley Ranch’s scenic golf course, hosting 25 five-somes that will be led by 49er celebrities and other A-listers. Guests can also expect numerous family-friendly activities, wine and craft beer tastings, and sumptuous food. Fan-favorite activities include a sensory wine seminar and “Chalk Talk,” which gives guests an insider look at game planning and contract negotiations. And get your tough questions ready for the exclusive Q&A with the players in attendance.
The grand finale is Saturday evening’s “Denim After Dark,” presented by Levi’s®. The event includes a wine reception, dinner, live auction, and private concert. The weekend’s proceeds benefit the foundation’s mission to educate and empower Bay Area youth. “For the past 28 years, the 49ers Foundation has championed charitable initiatives supporting education and wellness for underserved Bay Area youth,” says 49ers President Al Guido. “These efforts are not possible without the generosity of our fans and business community.”
