Huddle Up!

Since 2001, the San Francisco 49ers, along with their biggest support system—their fans—have escaped to Squaw Valley for a weekend of skiing, evening galas, and lasting memories. This year, the team has decided to shake things up a bit and take the 49ers caravan down south—to Carmel. “The 49ers Foundation embodies the spirit of innovation and we are thrilled for a new opportunity for fans to engage with the team—all while showcasing our signature programs that support Bay Area youth,”  San Francisco 49ers Foundation Executive Director Justin Prettyman says.

From March 29 — 31, the Golden Getaway, presented by Chevron, will have its inaugural event at Carmel Valley Ranch, a stunning retreat that boasts 500 acres of vineyards and views. Guests will be treated to an all-inclusive weekend at The Ranch, with luxurious accommodations and a packed itinerary that includes a shotgun-format celebrity golf tournament, sponsored by Chevron, on the property’s premier golf course. Foursomes will be led by members of the 49ers starting lineup, coaches, and alumni alike, as well as celebrities from the film and music industries. Adults and children of all ages will love attending the famous “Chalk Talk” with the 49er coaches, players, and alumni. The weekend also includes opportunities for wine tasting through Carmel Valley, hot air balloon rides, and horseback riding. And don’t miss Saturday evening’s festivities, which will feature entertainment, sponsored by Levi’s®, from hit artist Flo Rida. Proceeds from this memorable weekend benefit the San Francisco 49ers Foundation. “On behalf of the York family, our players, coaches, and executive leadership, I invite you to join us for this inaugural weekend event,” San Francisco 49ers Co-Chairman, John York.
