Luncheon of Eden

Barbara Eden, as charismatic IRL as she is on the screen, entranced the luncheon crowd at the War Memorial Opera House’s Green Room while in conversation with SFCM President David Stull.

On February 14, Barbara Eden, of the 1960s cult sitcom I Dream of Jeannie, was the star of San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Fanfare Luncheon, which celebrates distinguished alumni every year. The San Francisco native — once named Miss San Francisco — attended the conservatory’s precollege program in the 1950s before hitting stardom in Hollywood with shows like How to Marry a Millionaire.

Luncheon co-chairs in formation: Ana T.L. Dierkhising, Mary Poland and Lisa Grotts.
Gary Garabedian with SFMC’s dean and chief academic officer, Jonas Wright.
Jessica Yoo poses with Eden (whom we beg to drop her skin care routine — reader, she’s in her late 80s!) and Rozhin Zamani.
With the soiree held on Valentine’s Day, red was the move for Lisa Zabelle, Roman Gronkowski and Farah Makras.
Myrna Schwam, who we want to be when we grow up, with Stull and Gene Schwam.
