Menlo Park’s hot new spot to see and be seen this summer is Menlo Tavern at the Stanford Park Hotel. After a terrific renovation (think: clubby atmosphere and cosmopolitan vibe), Menlo Tavern is serving up craft cocktails (don’t miss the Full Moon made with Alquima Organic Anejo Tequila, pineapple, grapefruit, and lime juices, with a jalapeno ice sphere) and a locally sourced menu worth savoring. Dishes to enjoy include Cowgirl Creamery Burrata with lemon olive oil, fried basil, and country bread (great for sharing) and the Heritage Pork Chop with sweet potato puree and drunken blackberries. Or for a truly indulgent treat, order the Caviar and Chips served with crème fraiche and pair it with a glass of Schramsberg blanc de blanc.
