Growing up in Menlo Park, Nicole Engelhardt (daughter of Helen and Philip Engelhardt) dreamt of a wedding at home. After attending Arizona State University and forging an early career in public relations for luxury resorts and hotels across the globe, she never waivered from that early dream. Nicole met her match in Joel Packer (son of Ann and Steve Packer). Joel grew up in Carmel and attended Stevenson School in Pebble Beach and University of Colorado Boulder. A mutual friend’s birthday party brought the pair together in San Francisco in 2012. They soon fell in love and moved in together. In 2018, Joel proposed and whisked Nicole off for a surprise engagement trip to Hawaii.
For the ceremony and wedding, Nicole and Joel chose the Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club in Menlo Park. The event exuded sophistication with a classic black-and-white color scheme. Event designer Gina Affrunti and floral designer Jeeryn Dang brought Nicole’s vision for a chic modern wedding to fruition with crisp white bouquets and centerpieces brimming with white garden roses, hydrangeas, and stocks.
The couple honeymooned in Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. They now reside in Manhattan.
