A delighted crowd at the 12th annual Artful Harvest Dinner in Woodside raised enough funds to support 10 artist residencies in one fruitful afternoon! The gala partly funds the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, a wonderful opportunity for more than 70 scientists and artists to experience a 30-day, all-expenses paid residency in the tranquil Santa Cruz mountains of Woodside. Guests at the Artful Harvest Dinner and gala bid on the auction that included 68 works of art from painters, sculptors and textile workers like Nathan Oliveira, Kathryn Spence, Lauren Davies and David Nash among others. Supporters also had a chance to nab one-of-a-kind experiences like a tour of Facebook headquarters, box tickets to the SF Ballet and a yoga retreat by program alum Adrienne Love. Art fanatics enjoyed a lucky break: The offerings on hand that evening also featured a special painting from Cuban artist Rigoberto Mena Santana and a sculpture by Tanja Geis.
