The annual Litquake kickoff was the place to be for the Bay Area’s vibrant and eclectic literary community. 200 guests gathered at the University Club, where conversation and cocktails flowed free in anticipation of the annual festival. Litquake founders Jack Boulware and Jane Ganahl welcomed Chronicle columnist Leah Garchik to celebrate SF literary junkies’ favorite nine days of the year. The festival will feature over 800 authors, including the likes of Amy Tan, Armistead Maupin, Michael Chabon, Michael Imperioli and Michael Nesmith.
